You can easily reserve a boat through our online reservation page. Fill out the form and you will receive a confirmation email with all the details.
If you did not receive a confirmation email, please check your spam folder first. If the email cannot be found there either, please contact us using the details on the contact page.
We accept several payment methods, including on-site cash payment and iDeal. You will receive an email with payment details after your reservation.
No, a boating license is not required to rent a boat from us. Our boat is easy to operate, even for beginners.
If you discover an error in your reservation, please contact us as soon as possible using the details on our contact page so we can make the necessary adjustments.
In case of extremely bad weather, such as storms or heavy rain, please contact us to reschedule or cancel the reservation.

Questions about the routes
Yes, boats wider than 180 cm are not allowed to pass through the Dorpsgracht in Giethoorn. This rule protects the narrow canals and avoids fines of €1,600.00.

Time locks
At Blokzijl Boat Rental, you can rent the QWEST Marine R450 for different time periods, depending on your preference:
- Morning: 09:00 – 13:00 hours
- Afternoon: 1:30 – 5:30 p.m.
- Full Day: 09:00 – 18:00 hours
Whether you prefer a shorter trip in the morning or a full day on the water, we have the perfect options available for you. Minimum rental period is 2 hours.

Start your adventure from one of our three strategically located pick-up points:
- Balkenhaven, Blokzijl
- Wetering Oost, Wetering
These locations offer easy access to the beautiful surroundings of Blokzijl and are perfect for starting your boating trip.
Village canals Giethoorn not allowed!
When renting a boat from Boat Rental Blokzijl, it is important to respect the local boating regulations. As a rental company, we are not authorized to take boats through the Dorpsgracht in Giethoorn. Violation of this rule may result in a fine of €1,600.00 which will be passed on to the tenant. Be sure to comply with these and other local rules to avoid fines and protect nature. Boat on location!?
Would you like the boat delivered to a specific location? We offer this service for a fee based on the distance from Scheepsdiep 32-D.
For locations outside a 5 km radius, we recommend requesting a quote in advance. WhatsApp is the fastest way to request a quote or make a reservation. You can also use our contact form.
On-site delivery is possible, except in the center of Giethoorn and at holiday parks or campsites where there is already a boat rental.
The cost of delivering the boat is € 1.00 per kilometer to/from Scheepsdiep 32-D. The distance is calculated using Google Maps.
A surcharge will be charged for delivering the boat on water by boat, which will be determined in consultation.
